Blessed Feet

I walked into a shoe store one afternoon, ready to buy a simple pair of shoes, and as I stood there, something caught my attention. The variety of shoe sizes, the colors, shapes, the rows neatly lined from newborn tiny shoes to large elderly pairs—everything suddenly spoke loudly to me. These shoes would be worn by many feet. Feet with different stories, different journeys, different assignments.
I began to think about Romans 10:15, And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!" I paused and asked myself, What makes someone's feet beautiful? Is it about the pedicures, soft heels, or perfectly shaped toes? No! This beauty is not physical; it is spiritual. It is not about perfect steps; it is about purposeful steps.
As I lingered in the store, I began to think about the feet in our world… Feet walking through crowded malls, rushing to catch buses, tiny feet learning to stand, tired feet ending a long shift, feet dancing in joy, and feet trembling through hard seasons. Yet, every one of them is seen by God.
You see, blessed don't stand behind pulpits only, some will stand in marketplaces, schools, hospitals, kitchens, courtrooms, in the music, movies, and fashion industries. Beautiful feet are not confined to church walls or missionary grounds alone.. They carry the gospel in the form of excellence, compassion, justice, generosity, honesty, truth and courage.
These blessed feet are willing to move, even when conditions are not perfect. Feet that say, "Lord, send me." Feet that walk into difficult places where many are afraid to tread. Feet that water thirsty souls and bring relief to heavy hearts. Feet that carry messages of peace, hope, and good news.
When I think of blessed feet, one example rises immediately—Mother Teresa. She didn't resist the darkest, dirtiest, most forgotten places in the world. Her feet carried her into streets where the dying lay abandoned. Her feet walked into leper colonies, orphanages, and slums—places many avoided.
Mother Theresa's feet were blessed because everywhere she walked, she carried God's love. Thousands came to Christ simply by witnessing her compassion. Her quiet obedience, her gentle care, and her unstoppable love made her feet some of the most "beautiful" the world has ever seen.
When you arise each morning, let this be your reminder: "My feet are blessed, and they carry God's purpose." May the Lord guide you and let your feet carry you into places where you can encourage, give, build, forgive, negotiate, create, heal, restore, and love. Psalm 37:23 says "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way." Every move you make is not just a physical footprint; It is a spiritual impact. Every step of obedience unlocks destinies. Are your feet blessed?
A Prayer
Dear Lord, we thank you for the gift of our feet. We pray, heavenly Father, that you help us to walk in obedience and follow the footsteps of our Lord Jesus. May our blessed feet leave traces of love, healing, forgiveness, courage, creativity, generosity, and grace everywhere we go. May our feet walk into rooms prepared by God. May they unlock doors, carry answers, and fulfill divine assignments in Jesus' name, Amen.
